I then sprayed the two front fenders, the hood and the trunk lid with Nason Ful-Poxy 491-16 Epoxy primer blocked sanded dry to P400 and wet sanded to P500 ( I am planning to spray the whole car ...Spraying a single stage metallic is not fun with any paint.Make sure you have enough air pressure,even spray pattern,and you need to make dead even passes to have the proper metallic layout.Nason is a great paint IMO.I would bet money its the same as the higher end or discontinued Dupont products in a different can.I would use a base/clear system for any metallic paint.Mix Ratio Combine components and mix thoroughly. Component Volume one thing to keep in mind is the finish may dull out in a month after the initial cut/buff. nason is pretty easy to wet sand and buff after a month from what i have experienced with it. i noticed that if i do the wet sanding/buffing right after painting, it dulls out in about a month due to the paint curing and shrinking a little. so i prefer to have a vehicle back in a month or so and do it ...If you use more reducer, or over reduce it, you can use the 2k primer as a sealer as well. MTK isn't a primer. It's a SS topcoat urethane that can be cleared or mixed with clear on the final coat.Application.
